Althea and Ato’s wedding at Northbrook Park, September 2024
After morning bridal preparation at the Aviator Hotel in Farnborough in the expert hands of @bridesbyaina.m, and a beautiful, joyful ceremony at St Peters Church in Wrecclesham, proceedings moved to Northbrook Park in Farnham for Althea and Ato. Nestled in the serene Surrey countryside, this stunning venue remains one of my absolute favourite wedding venues in the South, offering classic Georgian elegance for their wedding reception.
The graceful house, tranquil lake, and beautiful walled garden provided a romantic and refined setting, from intimate indoor ceremonies to picturesque outdoor celebrations.
Althea and Ato's day was quite simply everything I love about being a photographer, turned all the way up. To be a part of this wedding was to down a Summer’s worth of good vibes in one go.
I could tell you how my face hurt by the end of the day from smiling; how when everyone came onto the dance-floor to celebrate the couple, I could barely see through the viewfinder for the tears. I could try to describe how beautiful the couple and their glorious families were; how funny the speeches and sharp the outfits were. I could tell you how MC @andrew_ofosu_ raised the roof over and over again; and try to convey how @djscyther lit the dance-floor and didn't let up, all night.
I could try to describe how good @anitafayephotography was to work alongside and how she created some truly stunning portraits; how it redefined for me how enjoyable having a second photographer alongside me, might be. And what an amazing job Beverley of @divinecreationsweddings did in pulling the day together.
But no words are going to do it justice, so I'll just leave these tiny glimpses of the day here and say thank you to Althea and Ato for letting me be there.
